Times: Opting out in Darwin Debate

The Times Science section has a piece on the Darwin debate
Opting Out in the Debate on Evolution

By CORNELIA DEAN
Mainstream scientists, even those who have long urged researchers to
speak with a louder voice, stayed away from recent hearings at the
Kansas State Board of Education.

The Darwinians may have a point, or not, but the article is a short index of boilerplate syndrome. The one that is proof of media censorship is the one about how scientists are unanimous in their Darwwinian views. Here's a link for Dick Bird at the Chaos list, with a post (today) on the problems with Darwininism, posted after some pleading by list members.

The idea that scientists are all in agreement is hogwash. Most of them are too afraid to speak out.
