Expelled in Canada
‘If you mention intelligent design… you do get mugged’
Ben Stein, front man of the documentary Expelled, is unapologetic in his harsh view of Darwinism
Most of the film, however, concerns itself with what American critic Allan Bloom, in another context, called “the closing of the American mind.” It’s Stein’s contention that Darwinian thinking is so deeply entrenched in the scientific community that anyone who dares to challenge it is committing professional suicide. The film presents a dozen or so case histories of academics and writers whom it claims have paid a price for suggesting that the father of natural selection actually had no clothes.
The closing of the American mind is hardly the right comparison. Better, the stultification of the scientific mind.

For some back ground Free Gonzalez: Guillermo Gonzalez never anticipated becoming a test case - has been featured in “Expelled no Intelligence Allowed” may be a good read.
