In exile
Almost all the people in the world know that the country China has occupied our small country Tibet and we Tibetans are residing in India as a refugee. I was born in India and I don”t know much about our motherland but I heard from my ancestors that it is a very picturesque place to live in. The country Tibet is surrounded with mountains and plateaus and its environments is very clean and cold.
Our ancestors fled from Tibet with our spiritual leader His Holiness The Dalai Lama and came to India as a refugee. The first president of India and the government of India gave us shelter in their own motherland even though we were foreigners. Today, there are many Tibetans settlement settled all over India namely, Mundgod, Bylakupe, Hunsur, Kollegal, Dehera Dun, Darjeling, Shilong, Sikkim, Himachal, Dharamsala, Orissa and many more places. The Tibetans living in India are getting every rights from the field of Education till the job opportunities and every basic needs that a human being should have. We the students and youths are the future seeds of Tibet so we need to be more active and alert about the happenings in Tibet. We are very thankful to government of India and the people of India for providing us with all the basic needs like shelter, food and clothing. Now we have our own government to rule over the Tibetans in India. Our head office is in Dharamsala.
