One endless argument
The Darwin debate is stuck in a classic metaphysical deadlock, One endless argument.
What is puzzling that with all the resources of science, not a single scientist seems able to really look at the Kantian revolution re: metaphysics or the deeper history of biology that shows something potentially broader than the current scientism in the immediate wake of the Enlightenment.
We encounter remarkable naivete: consider that Richard Dawkins, and his fans/groupies, actually think that Darwin’s theory of natural selection can resolve the classic issues of metaphysics.
The strange result of modern science is a new kind of know-nothing, subject to the relenteless ideological agenda of economic and other elites, who have the public secure ‘dead fish’ on the hook, with respect to evolutionary propaganda.
Even the Marxist left is sucker to this ideological gambit.
While I hold not brief for the ID movement, they correctly sensed the failure of the major secular social groups on this (actually quite simple) question. As if they were the last group left to challenge the domination strategy here. They have played their card, only to show another weak hand.
So it is way beyond the deadline for secular groups to pause and reflect on their views, history, roots, there to see that they are impostors if they are going to try to impose Darwinism as the universal standared of secularism.
