Limits of observation
Today’s post on Observation and Natural Selection can be explored further in a selection from World History and the Eonic Effect, The Limits Of Observation:

It is a sign of how much of an abstract ‘evolution’ is in our minds, if we think that we have observed natural selection generating evolution.
Natural selection in the wild is observed constantly, but it doesn’t follow that it produces ‘evolutionary changes’ that are major, and in any case observing that would require millennia of observation in each case, without extrapolation to other cases!!!
