Intelligent Design’s Latest Sneaky Assault on Science
By Matt Zeitlin, Campus Progress. Posted July 22, 2009.

One of the architects behind the unscientific intelligent design movement is finding success in referencing its greatest enemy: Charles Darwin.

We cited this essay already today, and I took it as progress: it didn’t mention Darwinism. I was wrong, I hadn’t read the last paragraph.

The hateful and mentally contorted attacks on ID proponents is no doubt understandable in those who worry about the religious right, but the exercise seems more like beating one’s head against the wall, the reason being that while creationists/designists may well be deluded in their beliefs, Darwinists have no real basis on which to attack dissenters, and no grasp of the reality, that Darwinism simply doesn’t stand up as an evolutionary theory.

It has become alarmingly difficult, if not hopeless, to point out the problems of Darwinism to those denouncing creationism with such overconfidence.
Part of the tenacity here is the fear that not having all the answers will give ammunition to rightwing religious evolution critics. But lying won’t help, not at all, and this charade of Darwinists has almost damaged secular credibility beyond repair.
The solution is simple: we detect evidence of evolution, but we don’t know how it works, we can ditch Darwin, and disarm the religious right/creationism by being honest about what we know. To the arguments for ID we can simply express our interest, and sense of wonder, and yet demur from any hard claims about design, since none of them can be proven.
It is probable that science as currently formulated can’t really produce a theory of evolution, the hidden reason for all the confusion.

In any case this Alternet article shows the left in a state of paralysis on evolution, unable to stop the slowly increasing tide of ID propaganda.
It might help to give up Darwin propaganda, and speak the truth to the public.

Almost? Face it, the chance is gone and it is too late for these “secularists” to turn back on their Darwinian foundation now. To admit failure after so much has been vested in this worldview would result in a TKO(Marx and Freud were killed off a while ago and Darwin is the only one left). It doesn’t matter that the religious right can smell blood and is zeroing in the for the kill (Altenburg 16 signals that Big Science is losing control over its community)…they will be forced to defend this worldview to the bitter end.
