Bourgeois and Marxist economics flunk freedom test
Can individuals change history?
History is full of situations in which a point of extreme tension is broken in one direction or another by the action or inaction of individuals.
Having critiqued ‘bourgeois’ economics in the previous post, it is important to realize that we do not have a science of economics critique, either…
This essay about individuals in history is one in the endless series of efforts to exhonorate Marxist economic thinking from historical determism, and such efforts never really work, because Marxist economics doesn’t really work.
I recomment a look at the eonic model where the treatment of ’system action’ and ‘free action’ in historical dynamics can actually come to a resolution of this question that haunts Marxism, and ‘bourgeois’ mathematical economics where, technically, free will is absent, given the fetish use of the differential equation.
