Teaching the controversy
I am surprised at the terror created in scientists by this issue. Why not just let classrooms be open to discussions of the controversy? (for crying out loud).
It might also help if scientists raised the issues of debate themselves, by bringing in some of the classic science critics of Darwinism, like Robert Wesson.
