ID propaganda equal and opposite to the Darwinian

International Poll on Evolution Confuses British Darwinists

The failure of the public to buy into the Darwinian paradigm represents a moment of some potential, or did, until the predatory propaganda tactics of the ID/Discovery group confused the issue for everyone. A great opportunity to get beyond Darwinism has been lost, as the rightwing religious conservatives muddy the waters with their own deception, equal and opposite to Darwin propaganda.

Do you have any articles which explain your hostility to the I.D. movement? Since I get the impression you’re a Darwin skeptic, it’s not clear to me why you would feel that way.

I am not absolutely against ID, although I do, perhaps, show ‘hostility’ to the righwing conservative-christian brand of ID, which is trying to hog the airwaves on design questions.

I often follow Kant on metaphysical issues, and his take on design questions has never been bettered.
I have great respect for ID, but that’s not the same as agreeing to its claims, which are difficult to verify.

Thanks, Nemo. Do you have an article explaining Kant’s take on design?

Let me look into it: much of the commentary on that is dispersed in his writings: e.g. the issue of the teleological (design) argument is often dealt with in books on the first critique, etc…
