Bringing Richard Dawkins to justice
Bringing the Vatican to Justice
Sam Harris picks up on the ‘arrest the Pope’ nonsense.
I think that this theme should be explicated by the original version, from the ashram of Rajneesh in the seventies and eighties, whose concern was the urgent need to hasten the passing of the religious traditions of celibacy, which are evident in Axial Buddhism, and spread in corrupt form into Christian monasticism, without proper understanding. Religious entities have forgotten the meaning or technique of celibacy, and the result can be a dangerous psychological outcome.
Playing to the gallery by wishing to arrest the Pope is simply stupid.
I think it would make more sense to arrest Richard Dawkins. He has wilfully corrupted the understanding of an entire generation, and perverted the steady procession away from old religious traditions by trying to turn that into a cult of another kind, Darwinian social darwinism.
Dawkins is so bone-headed he can’t learn from his situation, which is also a gravy train of bestseller business for Darwin groupies.
We should ask if Dawkins is perpetrating a crime against humanity.
Maybe arrest Harris too. He is now part of the same racket.

Dawkins has no power to arrest the Pope. English law provides a power of citizen’s arrest; but that power is nullified if there are are police present—as there certainly will be in this case. It is then up to Dawkins to attempt to persuade a police officer that the Pope has commited an arrestable offence. It is not likely that bone-head Dawkins will have any success with this.

The whole thing is just a publicity game, playing to the gallery.
Dawkins has a lot to answer for himself: the promotion of bad science
a la the Darwinian oversimplificaton is a fraud, and a very destructive
one.
The strangest thing is that he was wrecked atheism by making it
a screed based on scientism.
