First and last men
Nietzsche’s ‘last man’ got the whole issue wrong, with a suggestive terminology that was ruined by Darwinism.
The point here is that the first man and/or last chimpanzee (however you wish to define/calibrate it) appears at the dawn of homo sapiens, and proceeds with a steady state that is then continued with the later phases of man’s evolution: the evidence of the eonic effect in civilization shows that active process. We cannot safely depict that with Social Darwinist theories of evolution. Nietzche’s dangerous eugenic psychosis spread into the fascist/Nazi programs and needs to be completely thrown out.
A long study of the eonic effect might give a hint of the evolutionary processes behind civilization, and probably human emergence. The ‘last man’ is the real speciation of man, the complete man, a creature that we do not as yet, or understand. And we certainly won’t arrive them with the crackpot Darwin approach. On the contrary, we would degenerate and probably become extinct. So the ‘last man’ is the first true man beyond man, homo sapines sapiens from homo sapiens, to recycle those terms (better to invent new ones)>
