Historical materialism vs Kant’s challenge
The Eonic Effect As a Resolution of Kant’s Challenge
Historical materialism as a reductionist economism in the generation of scientism and Darwinism was an aborted theory from the start. The formulation of Kant, resolved in the eonic effect, shows the way in which the Hegelian idea of the emergence of freedom in history can have a dynamical theory in the context of science, given the Kantian take on freedom in relation to Newtonian science. Historical materialism ended up making the idea of freedom impossible to realize in history.
