The great divide and scientism

The Great Divide
Issues of modernity, secularism, and science have shown a drift away from the brilliant period of the Enlightenment and the early modern. A distortion of modernity is what is associated with the ‘iron cage’.
If we look at the eonic effect, its transitions, and the modern transition with its ‘great divide’, we can see the way in which a peak is passed, and a fall-off occurs. That is confusing because technological and economic advance can explode, even as the mentality of secularism becomes narrow.
It is here that the contraction of science occurs, bringing us scientism.
