The evolution of religion, and the Axial Age

We already commented on this (and I posted a link in the comments, which didn’t appear: am i censored at the disgustingly hypocritical Huffpost), but rereading it I would say that it does again what we have critiqued today, and before: taking one ‘virtue’ or psychologicall property (here, awe) and making that the focus.
The question of the evolution of religion has a great clue, which scientists won’t take: the Axial Age. We actually see a macrovevolutionary process behind the emergence of two world religions. So the search for some Darwinian genetic explanation won’t work.
I wonder at the posters at Huffpost. Would they have the nerve to stand up to Darwinists? (and to the ID group too, perhaps) I think not, and I am suspicious that critics of Darwin are going to be censored at that site.
Nauseating.
