Searching world history for a directional logic
Another tour of WHEE: the existence of non-random evolution (in world history) is at first counterintuitive, but only because we have been so propagandized by Darwinian ideology. We can deduce that any developing entity must show the signature of a directed process behind it. Once we suspect that, we examine world history in search of it. It doesn’t take long to find what we suspected!
And the result can be the antidote to Social Darwinist ideology: history and culture don’t evolve via conflict, competition, or suvival of the fittest. They instead realize a complex unfolding in a directed, perhaps teleological process that emerges from nature in a dimension beyond current reductionist logic.
We can thus easily stand beyond social darwinist propaganda by seeing the way powerful elites use nihilist evolutionism to justify their economic and class actions. The liberal darwin dupes aren’t much help here.
The long view of history thus shows its own dynamic, and more specifically the obvious way in which values emerge from history (as evolutionary dynamics). Evolution can’t be a value-free science, for what we see stands beyond standard science to show the fact/value dichotomy transcended.
