Quantum Computers to Arrive with Single-Atom-Sized Transistors

I have always thought, without knowing whether it is true, that ‘nature’ has its own built in ‘computational’ entities, and that, perhaps, these lie behind the ‘evolution of evolution’ in the cosmos. It is hard at first to consider how such things could exist, but at the point where a single-atom transistor is realizable, we are so close to the substrate that the question arises, doesn’t greater nature have a hidden computational aspect embedded in its ordinary physics (and biology, perhaps).
We shall see!
