Greetings, InterOccupy Volunteers!
We are excited to bring you the second Volunteer Newsletter, listing more permanent, core group roles that InterOccupy has available. We believe in the Occupy practice of Step Up, Step Back and rotating all tasks. Within this process, we learn, we do, we teach and we pass on skills to keep alive the collective Occupy spirit, and specifically here to keep alive the communication and organization platform that the InterOccupy group has developed.
Interoccupy grew out of the Movement Building Working Group in Zucotti Park, and through much dedication and many volunteer hours, has managed to stay viable and offering the movement free collaborative services for over 16 months. This high level of daily tech heavy input is not sustainable for any one small group of people for long periods, and we encourage an ebb and flow of dedicated workers. This is an exciting time in InterOccupy as we develop another new platform, wish some long time founding members the best in life’s next pursuits, and are welcoming new volunteers who are already enriching our group and shared vision.
We’d love to have you be part of developing InterOccupy 3.0!
