A revolution against the military?

The problem of Israel and the problem of Egypt are not unconnected…But the issue of the coup in Egypt requires the original perspective from the start of the coup: the subtle coup of Morsi to coopt the revolution was challenged by a huge populist protest, to which the army attached itself leaving the radicals unexpectedly caught in a Faustian pact with the military. That coup was sufficiently sly and unexpected as to have been a fait accompli before it was clear what it was. The cleverness was the superposition of the images of populist protest onto an insidious military But is was a tacit assumption at that point (at least in what I recall reading) that this was a temporary state. Since it threatens to be nothing of the kind, the revolutionaries must without delay commence a revolution against the military.They did this once, so why not once again…
