Science, history, and the failure to find a science

The discussion of the attempt to model world history, see previous post, is almost alarming in the naivete of reductionist science. It is also a warning of the way that scientists are locked in the Iron Cage, and can’t get out of it.
In a real sense it points to the failure of science as we know it.
And I think marxists should study this question to see that the same limits apply to historical materialism.
