Stream and sequence: ancient and modern Israel

A Review of Alison Weir’s “Against Our Better Judgment”
How the United States Was Used to Create Israel

I don’t want to use my ‘stream and sequence’ model at length on the controversial issue of modern Israel but a single observation, then a discussion in another post might do the trick.

The issue is simple and fairly blunt: in our stream and sequence argument, ancient Israel shows a sequence and stream followup, while the modern case only shows stream placement.
That sounds arcane, maybe it can douse controversy, maybe not. It is not hard to see why modern Israel is so anomalous, and subject to so much controversy. That’s not the full story, and the question is not easy to resolve.

Enough, we will move to another post to discuss the issue.
