The slavery to the super-parasitical rentier class

July 17th, 2014 · No Comments

One of the prime requirements of a New Communism is the expropriation and control of the Rentier class, to free the millions plus who are de facto enslaved to the ‘rent cycle’ which even under the best circumstances is almost impossible to master. The ability to make use of critical resources to promote all forms of self-development is severely constrained by the rent straightjacket, one of the most important ways to control not only the economic but the intellectual freedom of workers, who have little leisure time after the frantic plus/plus jobs taken to meet the rentier ripoffs.

I remember several remarkable instances of sudden freedom from the rentier cycle: simply abandoning the rent cycle for open living, still possible in the Western states of the USA, in various ‘homeless/hobo/lumpen’ living camps, employed or unemployed: one suddenly has the time to go to libraries, read, study, and attempt to ‘create a life’.
