This looks like more of Zizek’s confused analysis based on French Philosophy: biopower? And the question of ISIS, which we have discussed here, is surely the outcome of ‘premodern’ fundamentalism, almost by definition.
But as we have analyzed it here: the ISIS shows the way in which an anti-colonial impulse, the fight against American imperialism, is condemned by its confusion of categories: we have suggested a new kind of communism under the rubric of an Islamic Reformation that can cut throw the sharia…
