The jackknife of Judeo-Xtianity

The problems between Jews and Christians (and Moslems!) can be seen by studying the Axial Age and comparing the various exemplars of that process (which we little understand).

If we compare the emergence of buddhism and/or the case of Archaic Greece, we can see that the streamlined process of emergence was not matched by the Judeo-Christian succession.
The whole thing went wrong. We can see the trouble starting with the way a tribal state religion tried to be the launch pad for a universal religion that was open to all. The effort to blend it with Zoroastrianism didn’t work right, although the eschatological tradition did indeed transfer. What should have been a no-brainer ended up becoming an intractable division of one process into two separate traditions.
To be sure, the signs of that kind of conflict arose with Hinayana versus the Mahayana in buddhism, but there was never a sense of there being two religions.

It is an historical puzzle with too much bitterness on both sides to get straight, but somehow the Israeli mentatlity now in place is regressing monstrously to the tribal, it must be said.

Americans must disentangle themselves from this mess or go down the tubes as a civilization.
