The question of ‘tragedy’ is open to endless confusion because the term has shifted in meaning (more than once). But here the reference to the art form is clear and the way to deal with that restricted definition is not clear. The question has no real solution, and the curious irony of an age so focused on drama in the form of Hollywood cinema is the barrenness of the whole game and the absence of any exemplar to the classic artform. To be fair, noone knows how that should be done.
