The works of Kant are simply out the window for so-called ‘secularists’ but his work is a reminder that you can proceed to the end with materialist analysis and still miss a core aspect of the data. It is not clear how the brain is related to ‘mind, soul, and consciousness’. It is possible that neuroscience will not even locate the relevant ‘data’.
