The previous posts looks at the way that evolution can fall between two stools: it begins as a neutral reductionist theory of development and then ends up try to mediate the issue of values, by first rejecting values. It is not wonder people are confused about evolution.

One good way to get out of this confusion is to study the application of evolution to world history: there we see in action a form of ‘evolution’ that illustrates all the things missing in the darwinian account.
