Darwin day and the Darwin cult

We missed Darwin day here (forgot the date), but it hardly matters. I think this article at Evo-News is right to see how Darwin has become a kind of cult figure. Over and over one can point out how inappropriate that is, given the failure of natural selection theory.

How is it possible that figures like Dawkins can repeat the same old tripe and get away with it? In any case, a Darwin Day would be a bad idea: it would be thousands to millions who know better about darwinism in a position of constant cultural warfare.
