I think biologists, and scientists in general, are living in a dream world and cannot for the life them come to any sense of what is wrong with darwinism, and its theory of natural selection. People like Dawkins has convinced a whole generation of the science behind darwinism and in the process lowered science’s awareness of the nature of its own method. In the realm of evolution we suddenly get implausible assumptions adopted for ideological reasons, e.g. the success of natural selection in refuting the design argument, and the result is an upside down confusion that has in turn been rendered normative. The endgame is going to be severe here, as the public appreciates that religious thinktanks, whatever their confusions, were far ahead of biologists in exposing the confusions of Darwin,…and Dawkins.
