Two strikes for science in the Iron Cage: darwinism and neo-classical economics

July 17th, 2015 · No Comments

Man’s evolutionary transition beyond capitalism almost requires the emergence of a new man: we need to found the transition beyond capitalism on a view that is not stuck in the darwinian fallacy with its hidden class struggle. ideology of class, and phony biological theory. It is everything Marx warned of in the collation of theory and ideology and the marxist left ended up missing the boat here.

The critique of darwinian theory is very easy to do and need not be any kind of concession to religious reactionaries. Something has gone wrong in the training of the modern scientific cadre to find it incompetent to see through darwinian theory/ideology and economic theory/ideology. That’s two bad strikes and points to the need for a refounding of social/secular thought.
