Level confusions of darwinian theories

October 11th, 2015 · No Comments

A real theory…?

The current academic/scientific environment is not likely to allow the real paradigm shift needed to replace darwinism, and the issue is connected with the question of Darwin’s plagiarism from Wallace, as documented in Roy Davies’ The Darwin Conspiracy.
One of the confusions is the way biochemical reductionism, like that of basic physics, works, more or less, and this makes biologists think this will work with evolution. But evolution is somehow on a different level and this doesn’t yield so easily to recutionist thinking.
Amazingly the problems were outed by the philosopher Kant who created a whole school of biological re-foundationalism, the ‘teleomechanists’, but this promising start was simply filtered out in the nineteenth century after the triumph of darwinism.
