The Uber class warfare and indirect union busting…Time to boycott Google/Amazon?…the creepy thug Bezos’ investment in the so-called ‘taxi’ service

The saga of Uber is pretty nauseating to someone who was ever a cab driver, especially in the old days up to the late seventies. The old business was a dignified and very efficient business/labor combination and allowed the actual performance of a job with serious remuneration. What happened in the later period of the eighties on was nauseating to watch and destroyed the whole game for most of those who knew the old taxi world of New York.
Uber drivers are the next suckers in this racket and the best thing to do is to walk away from it. I remember visiting one of the old garages in the late eighties to see if there was any prospect of the old life: the manager himself, once he heard I had taxied years before, immediately advised to stay away from the business as it had become. The whole thing was a premonition of Uber and was systematically organized hell for the drivers who had a very hard time really making a living…
