The views of Asbar (previous post, link) are strong ones, but we have, despite a completely open stance, with discussions of reformations, left the issue up in the air, with a few posts suggesting, however, dismantling Islam. These are really about dismantling xtianity, any such effort with Islam being ‘your move’ for moslems themselves. But I think that an outsider has the right/duty to insist on open commentary, as free speech. In a period of Islamophobic madness it is almost impossible to discuss the issues. The issue for me is that a trend toward modernity by moslems would actually help to forestall the horrendous manufactured ‘war on terror’ inflicted on Islamic countries.
