Our idea for a communist tragic theatre requires only the ‘seed idea’ carried through the revolution. We can generate plots for a Public Domain of tragic plots and other issues. At this point, remarkably, the idea is enough, allowing us to make the problem harder, rather than easier. That is, the prime task is a form of blank verse tragedy that can match the original era of such. It must be contemporary without archaism. Looks impossible, but actually blank verse is a ‘hack’ as Shakespeare discovered on the way to its ease of composition to the real task of making it go from verse to poetry. you can steal plots from this public domain, but unless the result is in blank verse, who cares…
A set of basic plots has been in the back of my mind since the eighties (see nemonemini.info). The one I like (and it is a virtual plot, so far, no problem semi-silly): it seemed silly to bring in the Cookie Monster, but the video above shows the monster side of that smart cookie. Close to the tragic domain…

Elements of the plot: cookie monster tires of cookies and goes mad and escapes from PBS after a nervous breakdown and seizes control of electic grid in Time Square as a terrorist act demanding a new form of supercookie: a tragic play with ‘catharsis’. A Broadway theatre nearby is challenged to produce a ‘tragic history of Richard the Fourth’ after the fashion of the mythical Willie Shakesbeard, a mythical tragedian of yore.
The producer, director and players scramble to produce a plot, dialogue, blank verse, and special effects, the play will have external output in times square ‘Neon Ad Space)…since blank verse is a forgotten art they will solicit contributions from the public who can wifi snippets vis Smartphone into the play via the prompter’s box…All sorts of bits and pieces are stiched together for the players, with the cookie monster in the rafters near the circuit box, connected with Con-Adder…

Meanwhile CNM, the cable news channel is having an interview session with a Hollywood director on …The show breaks to an advertisement for Consolidated Adder, or Con Adder the central utility of the state of New York..Now new software using Big Data is available via Smartphone, and this is available in Times Square via wifi…

The play about Richard 4 will diffuse into a dream sequence as the main plot starts in Times Square: a play on the play within a play will contrast the tragedy developing with the life of Richard Desmond, a capitalist start up entrepreneur who steps into Times Square just as the a news boy from the Times building rushes out with an Xtra edition about the terrorist cookie monster…Everyone in Times Square is stepping through puddles as climate change is making the ocean start to breach the Isle of Manhattoes. There demonstrators demanding an end to capitalism, etc..

The main plot begins with Richard Desmond who begins to transit to blank verse from prose as his wifis to the cookie monster plot and he downloads the new software and experiments with Con-adder software to produce mechanized blank verse. He begins to out do the machine and two styles of blank verse begin their contrast in the play, and the play within the play, but which is which…

The bourgeois tragedy can play itself off against the kingly tragedy as the capitalist transmogrifies into a tragic hero/villain. Richard is a schizophrenic capitalist with a good side and bad side, and his plot stages his rapid rise (smartphone style via Wall Street, Hong Kong, sweatshops…), the rise and fall of his ‘kingdom’ or business empire plays on the mutual parodies of kingly plots and death of a salesman plots…

Full stop: the play of the tragic Richard 4 and Richard Desmond contains the gist, with a clear continuation to a full play, in blank verse… The Con Adder symbolism has a host of potentials, e.g. the Big Data Drag-on Adder, or super fact supercomputer in a smartphone, and the Glitch/software bug, no semi colon, the dragon adder… We can leave this incomplete, but can claim to have solved on plot for a bourgeois/kingly ‘tragedy’. This is a multiply infinite set of plots, tragic plots etc,…
Meanwhile the cookie monster ends unsatisfied by the play, and rushes on stage as a character in the play, and dies in the finale…
The tragic finale of Richard Desmond reflects the coming of the end of capitalism as the play closes with the flooding of Manhattan, and the death of Richard Desmond generating speeches for the cookie monster dressed up as Richard 4…
