We are at a point that was clear last May, so I fail to grasp the pessimism here. First, since Sanders has been statistics than Clinton, the process should favor him. But if now, and we lose the Sanders option we still have the revolution option, the real thing, or at least that slogan carried further in the creation of a new kind of left.
Let activists continue with ‘issue activism’ and its limits, but begin to devote some energy to the idea Sanders energized: revolution. Since he got the term wrong, we can still take the forward pass and try to get the term right.
We need the people skeptical of revolution, the real kind, to be the revolutionaries, so we are not done here yet…
This crisis we face can’t be solved by the brilliant Sanders even if he does go on to win. We Sanders to lead a movement toward postcapitalism.
