The idea of buddhism naturalized is stupid. The attack on buddhism at the Gurdjieff Con is a reminder that we have to outdo buddhism, not naturalize it. An immensely complex occult monster hiding behind the veil of compassion is trying to overtake modernity, or was, perhaps it has shot its bolt. But ‘naturalistic buddhism’ makes no sense. I can think of nothing ‘unnatural’ about buddhism’s issue (which come from very ancient legacies) focus on consciousness, enlightenment and meditation.
