R48G: thinking the unthinkable: the revolutionary option

November 30th, 2016 · No Comments

We need to consider the revolutionary option. It is repressed in activist logic and, as with Sanders’ ‘Our Revolution’, the idea is transformed into its opposite to fuel our aspiration without truly facing the reality of what we secretly think inevitable/impossible.
That makes no sense, or else makes complete sense!
The powers that be assume that revolution is impossible, and that cements their power which is crypto-totalitarian.
We need, at least in principle, be ready to start a revolutionary transformation and we can derive this from principle: on the left. Let us note that the founding fathers hinted at the need for further revolutions as if they knew their formula was flawed and flawed or not was corruptible.

There is an irony in Trump’s appearance: he is a free gift to the revolutionary and makes social transformation a must. Let’s face it: Trump is a destroyer who doesn’t realize his true position. We can see that he has very strangely shown the danger of the system as it is now. We must act, and we must sacrifice to save the future for our descendants, our children.
