Reconstructing marxism?

April 13th, 2017 · No Comments

The attempt to reconstruct marxism in the fashion indicated in this book isn’t going to work. Further the realm of ‘analytical marxism’ seems a lost cause at this point. It tended to compound the problems of scientism that narrowed the vision of marxists. History as we have noted requires a far broader perspective than the economic.
This book is a useful warning however of the failures of theory in the classic legacy and nearly a generation later the situation has not changed.
Rather than reconstruct marxism we have suggested a different view of history altogether and a practical platform for socialism/communism that isn’t monopolized by the older theory.
