R48G: punctuated equilibrium, the fallacy of theory and revolutionary free agency…

The idea of punctuated equilibrium is ‘still another theory’ and won’t work as hoped because it specifies a dynamical process whose character remains ambiguous. It is much better to use our eonic model where we can descriptively perceive ‘punctuated events’ looking backward. We cannot apply the abstraction to a generalization that might apply to our future without violating our free agency. The eonic model automatically takes care of this kind of contradiction.
