Robert Wright’s career of bad books…

August 18th, 2017 · No Comments

I haven’t read Robert Wright’s new book Why Buddhism is True, but I did take a potshot at the book in the comments section of the book page…

John C. Landon says:
I haven’t bought this book and can’t do a confirmed buyer review, so I will comment here…Robert Wright has always been confused on biology and now adds to this with a confused version of buddhism. time’s are changing: darwinian natural selection is finally being critiqued in public by biologists, the paradigm is on the move, so Wright’s views are obsolete.

Naturalistic buddhism is a dangerous delusion disguising a hidden occult monstrosity…

I would say Wright’s darwinian career is a complete failure, the whole shebang…

Wright has written bad books based on darwinism, now this, a bad book on buddhism, bad because naturalistic buddhism (but I haven’t read the book) is a dangerous delusion.

I feel sorry for Wright, in a way (but his book is making a bundle at amazon)but at the same time protest that damage he creates in a failed/successful career of bad books.

For a different take on buddhism check out The Gurdjieff Con blog and/or Debriefing Santana Dharma (amazon, free pdf linked at blog)…no zombie like a buddhist zombie…
