The antifa case is confusing the issue, perhaps. What should be considered is that in general, if the verdict is as stated then nonviolent tactics are not going to work either.

The antifa do not make the case for or against any given strategy. The larger question is the historical basis for revolutionary violence since the Reformation and the English Civil War.
The Black Block tactics are not well thought out, to say the least. Public displays of violence against the monolith of state power, now along with rightist militias, are notably pointless.
In the next post we will take a look at the Irish rebellion and its successful challenge…

The question now is how to best build a mass movement against America’s creeping fascism? Will that be achieved by punching neo-Nazis and white supremacists in the face, and by small groups of protesters throwing rocks and kicking tear gas at the police? Or will mass-based non-violent protest be the way forward?
