Chomsky’s work points to the larger question of human emergence and the complete implausibility of the darwinian account. The question of language alone is so complicated that piecemeal evolution simply makes no sense. But there is the larger transformation in which mind, language, art, and soul come together in an integrated species transition that could never have happened by chance…
Chomsky should have been a postdarwinian from the start. His critique of behaviorism was a first step, but the next step never happened…
