History, Evolution, and The Darwin Debate

Why is the left a feckless field of idiocy…? Without a revolutionary option you have no evolutionary option…

November 27th, 2017 · No Comments

We noted again today the lack of any real program on the left. There is no real mystery about what is wrong:

the neo-liberal tide has overwhelmed revolutionary options and rendered mainstream activism impotent. Without a revolutionary option you have no evolutionary option

next to this lies the rise of the covert state (the term ‘deep state’ isn’t quite functional), i.e. the spy agencies, psychological mass hypnosis, etc…these are an insidious variant of near totalitarian orgs..the level of criminality goes barely diagnosed. The idiocy of the left can’t even expose the 9/11 conspiracy, (and many ‘leftists’ are complicit in the coverup). The left is dealing with a criminal mafia using ‘please say please’ mentality…

related to the first point, the crippling equivocation over social democratic and real socialist platforms: the use of the term ‘socialism’ in the Sanders initiative is a good example. It seems harmless and perhaps it is a sincere effort to bluff one’s way forward but the statement one is a socialist has little meaning at this point. All discussion breaks up into issue activism and mumbling about the working class and wage increase issues…

in the context of the above the revolutionary left is discredited on the left in the minds of a very strong anarchist element that prevents any kind of action, a point obvious during the OWS movement…A similar charge can be directed against non-violent ideology as a pseudo-moral usurpation.

related to the above is the change in the nature of the ‘problem’, which is not only industrial labor, wages and full employment, but an ecological solution to the question of growth economies and the inability to resolve any issue in isolation…the question of climate change has overtaken the question of working class social democracy…

in general the problem of democracy is the problem of a global working class: an electoral system this is national is not really democracy because the victims of globalization have no vote…consider the Coltan miners of the Congo, a key sector of the american economy, etc…

the US is cursed with an Israeli/Zionist lobby, and this is anti-democratic crypto-coup d’etat…this sector is connected to the criminalization and imperial war generation of the military/industrial complex…

the US system is reaching full employment even as the overall system approaches catastrophe…the working class theme barely coheres at all…
in general the marxist platform is a misdiagnosis of historical dynamics and muddles a correct analysis of what is to be done. And disillusion with marxism drives still further social democratic half-measures…
etc…

This analysis then leaves the question of a new platform that can replace the core ‘second international’ platform that stands behind twentieth century action. This must diagnose the failures of marxism, leninism, and bolshevism/stalinism and get out of the rut of marxist boilerplate with a platform for revolutionary transformation, economic reconstruction as postcapitalism, etc…
Frankly, the marxist left dominates discussion while its critique reverts to the social democratic option…

The question of revolution lingers here as an unsolved problem haunting an inncreasingly totalitarian system…
