The supposed “shortage of ideas” is due to the stranglehold on science by philosophical naturalism. There are no plausible ideas from a naturalistic perspective that will ever resolve the intractable issues of the origin of life. The absurdity of the RNA world, panspermia, primordial soup, mythological Darwinian “warm little ponds” and chemical evolution, along with hydrothermal vents are just a few of the impotent naturalistic stories that have been foisted on the world. This is the crippled nature of science in the present day.
