Shakespeare, hollywood capitalism, greek tragedy in a non-commercial mode

Interesting essay: It is important to consider that Shakespeare moves in many ways via the a path like that of the composer/librettist in the sense of putting plots into majestic blank verse.
One might also consider that Greek Tragedy reused plots over and over in a kind of public domain mythology pool
The plays, including all genres and modes (comedy, satyr plays) were ‘religious’ events in festivals based on public ritual
By comparison Shakespeare is a capitalist, and this provokes the issue of ‘ownership’ and copyright at the dawn of modern ‘hollywood’…
