Metanarratives have a bad reputation in the era of postmodernism, but the eonic effect shows a spectacular case of the real thing…perhaps a meta-metanarrative

The eonic model shows the clear existence of an historical metanarrative done right, even if the term itself undergoes a shift in meaning. We also see that democracy itself shows a kind of macro induction, making the issue of autonomy ambiguous. But this ‘metanarrative’ is something quite exotically different from what it seems to mean and demands that at the conclusion to the phase of macroevolution make emerge to be able to direct his own history…The chance of failure remains and our historical complacency and deep ignorance threatens a crippled future, one that is already emerging in our present…
