R48G: the need for a radical movement…none exist at the moment…

April 28th, 2018 · No Comments

After so much ink spilt on the left the fact remains that at a time of planetary crisis, we have no left. amazing…We are about to disappear while leftists are thumb suckers, marxist idiots, anarchist goofs, and materialist left behinds…

The accelerating climate crisis has yet to produce any kind of movement on the left. We have critiqued marxism but at the same time some of its elements are very useful: we could easily repair the confusion if only the whole field weren’t dominated by the deadbeats still basically in the second international and the core marxist ideology. We have shown how easy it is to break out of the mold without throwing the baby out with the bath:

throw out historical materialism as a theory of history
replace it with simple outlines and economic issues taken ad hoc
stand back from darwinism and social darwinism and look at the empirical record of evolution agnostically without theory
don’t try to impose darwin dogma on the public…
don’t get entangled in the brics block muddle…
the brics group is probably worse than the us…
the issues of class and ideology in marx remain relevant and can be a new core, if upgraded, the marxist left if they stay away from theory often have good analyses of specific subjects…
despite claims that marx was an ecologist, he wasn’t really: we need a real ecological socialism
the working class is not really revolutionary: generalize the working class to a universal class and create a new mix where everone is the working class…
find a way to deal with the issues of religion, at the least as a kind of neutral secularism beyond theism/atheism
find a path that is revolutionary/evolutionary and proceed along the evolutionary until the revolutionary moment appears…: this is not necessarily comromise with social democratic fallacies…

we have produced a variant of communism in our idea of ‘democratic market neo-communism’: communism can reinvent markets in the context of planning and evade the hopeless muddle of the older marxists on markets…

the flawed analysis of marxism…//The Revolt that Shook the World | The Indypendent

A useful perspective on the bolshevik era. We have often claimed here that in part the confusions of bolshevism were the result of the flawed analysis of marxism. The model of ‘democratic market neo-communism’ in some earlier form could have clarified at the start what was to become the state capitalism of the post-Lenin era. And the idea of socialism in one country in the context of an international should make future transitions viable in the context of surrounding capitalism…
