Hegel was attempting to answer kant’s challenge but perhaps he didn’t quite succeed: might one recommend fulfilling his brilliant intuition and guess with a look at the way an evolutionary macro sequence resolves the issue of ‘reason in history’ with its ambiguous design argument.

I’ve been studying Hegel lately because I find a value in his idea that history has an objective structure and is intelligible. He argued that History is rational, and therefore its chain of causes and effects can be understood by Reason.
