This approach is tempting but has problems (what is consciousness?) and we have always tried to bring in the issue of ‘will’ as in schopenhauer (the Will in Nature) and bennett (Being, Function, Will) (but, of course, what is ‘will’): the will in this general sense is very close to the idea of ‘law of nature’ in an ambiguity of causal and ‘metacausal’ factors/laws…
