scientists have obfuscated the whole evolution question…//Evolution, religion, and why it’s not just about lack of scientific reasoning ability – On Biology

This kind of confused propaganda that equates ‘evolution’ with ‘darwinism’ and then harangues people for their understandable confusion about what exactly is a theory of evolution goes on and on.
The question of religion won’t go away because, notwithstanding the reality of religious mythology, notably creationist muddle, the enigma of the spiritual remains (as a perfectly good material question is some sense). Reductionist scientism has created its own mythology, one that is the equal and opposite delusion to religious ‘superstition’.
The fact of the matter is that science still doesn’t have a theory of evolution. It has an immense array of facts demonstrating the empirical reality of evolution in deep time, but it still does not have a fully coherent theory of how all that works.
Most of all science can’t explain the evolution of man, or explicate the nature of the man that did evolve. In fact, we lack anything whatever in the way of a complete empirical picture of how man evolved. It is therefore almost pointless for scientists to try the same old naive ‘blame religion’ tactics for the intractable nature of the debate….
