There is a quick and easy way to create links in Wordpress (here in version 2.3):
Highlight the link you want on the Internet, then ‘copy’ it to the clipboard.
Enter the wordpress work space and click ‘code’. Then click on ‘link’. Don’t try to copy the link in the box, instead simply click ‘OK’. The work space will show this:
a href=”http://” (with greater than and less than symbol at beginning and end)
Highlight the section http://, nothing else, then click on paste in your browser.
Enter the title you want after the > and then click on ‘close tags’.
That way you don’t have to type the link.
Note that if you highlight (i.e. select with mouse) a link in wordpress, it must be exact without any whitespaces at the end of the link letters.
